One brewery, bottom- and top-fermented beers, and two different tankards. Pecký pivovar did not stick to just a single type of glassware for serving, using the Isar and Salzburg models side by side. How does this duo work in practice?

A brewery that doesn't stick to a single style

Pecký pivovar joined the group of Giant Mountains breweries in 2017 and offers both bottom- and top-fermented beers. It complements its varied beer selection with different types of glassware – specifically the Isar 0.4 l and Salzburg 0.4 l tankards.

Side by side, both glasses create a collection that is not built on a single universal model. Although they share the same volume, each provides a slightly different visual impression during serving.

Isar – a shape known from Oktoberfest

The Isar tankard is one of the models easily associated with German beer culture. It gained fame primarily thanks to Oktoberfest, and in the Condec range, it forms an entire series from smaller volumes up to a one-litre stein.

A characteristic feature of the tankard is also the smooth badge opposite the handle, which provides space for a logo or other decoration. It is precisely the combination of a distinctive glass shape and a prominent print that allows the traditional look of the tankard to be blended with the brewery's own identity.

Salzburg as the second part of the collection

Alongside the Isar, Pecký pivovar also uses the Salzburg 0.4 l. Two different models of the same volume show that even within one brewery, not all draft beer needs to come in the same glass.

The combination of several types of beer glasses can indeed be an interesting approach for breweries with a broader portfolio. Each model can feel different when served, while the brewery's shared branding keeps the overall presentation cohesive.

Not just glassware, but also specialty beer bottles

Pecký pivovar goes beyond just draft beer. It also fills part of its production into specialty beer bottles, continuing the focus on packaging and serving beyond the taproom itself.

The result is a great example of how beer presentation doesn't have to be tied to just one type of glass. Isar, Salzburg, and specialty bottles give the brewery multiple ways to serve each beer to guests in a form that matches the specific serving style.
