Beer mug Labe 0.5: a new product inspired by brewing tradition

The new Labe 0.5 beer mug was not developed by Condec as just another item in our catalogue. It was created as a response to what breweries truly need – functional beer glassware that performs well in daily operation while allowing high-quality logo printing.

Inspiration that makes sense

From a technical perspective, the design is based on proven shapes, especially the Tubinger type. The name and character of the mug refer to Czech beer culture, closely connected with Pilsner lager.

The concept is also inspired by the Czech literary tradition of Bohumil Hrabal. Similar beer mugs appear in scenes from the film Postřižiny, reflecting authentic brewery life.

We intentionally chose a Czech name. At a time when most beer glassware carries foreign names, we wanted a product clearly connected to Czech brewing heritage – both functionally and symbolically. The name Labe comes from the Elbe River flowing near the Nymburk brewery.

What breweries really consider

During development, we focused on practical details:

  • Space for printing – smooth surface allows high-quality printing from all sides
  • Handling in operation – improved handle for better grip and easier service
  • Czech pouring style – increased headspace above the 0.5 L mark

Shape with purpose

Thanks to press-blown technology, the mug has a rounded profile inside and outside, improving beer flow and foam behavior.

In B2B, beer glassware is part of brand identity. We supply printed beer mugs with logos and custom decoration.
