Nonic – A Different Glass for Ales

Alongside Tubinger, the brewery also uses Nonic, a glass particularly typical for top-fermented beers. You can recognize it by the characteristic bulge near the top, which makes it easier to grip while helping to protect the glass against chipping.

The combination of Tubinger and Nonic shows nicely that beer glassware in a single brewery doesn't have to be uniform. A lager can get a classic handle mug, while ales are served in a glass with a completely different origin and appearance.
